This is DA-DA’, the bistro born from Angela Kama Michel’s desire to transform a family-owned place into a space of her own, where her passion for American diners meets that timeless touch of French charm.
Overlooking the fish market square, DA-DA’ is one of those places where you come in for a coffee and easily end up staying a little longer. The setting is a charming mix of vintage and creativity: retro furniture, salvaged details, soft colours, treasures discovered at flea markets and a large counter that immediately catches the eye.
But there’s nothing museum-like about it. Here, everything is meant to be lived in.
The kitchen follows the same philosophy: simple, delicious and carefully prepared food, from breakfast through lunch, with club sandwiches, toast, crêpes, eggs and bacon. And on Sundays, there’s brunch, perfect for those who like to start the day slowly and let it carry on well into the afternoon.
Adding to the atmosphere is music, another great passion shared by Angela and her brother Daniele. Folk, international sounds and jazz provide the soundtrack to life at the bistro.
When the warmer months arrive, guests can move outside to the charming terrace area, while the upstairs terrace promises aperitifs, late-evening drinks and live music.
That’s DA-DA’, a little bit of America, a little bit of Paris, and a little bit of home.
